Messrs. Teagarden and Solomon lead the team of Managing Partners, Advisory Partners, Directors, and Advisors with technology executive, management consulting, entrepreneurship and investment banking expertise.
Neville is a Managing Partner of AI Capital. He is also a co-founder and former President/COO of a major semantic artificial intelligence company. Prior to his venture and entrepreneurial pursuits, Mr. Teagarden had CIO/CTO roles at three Fortune 500 class companies over a 15-year executive career. Two of these grew from less than $1 billion to greater than $6 billion in revenue during his tenure. Neville also had responsibilities for technology venture transactions and overall M&A diligence and integration. In particular, he was Global CIO of both ProLogis, the largest global industrial REIT, and Navigant International, the second largest travel company behind American Express, following time at Janus Capital Group.
Neville is also an experienced practitioner with over a decade's experience developing enterprise systems across two generations of AI technology spanning multiple industries, including:
• Analytics, Semantics, Robotics, Deep/Machine Learning, and Natural Language
• Financial Services, Consumer Products, Insurance, Energy, Real Estate, Travel, Semiconductors
Neville received his degree from MIT where he was also a researcher in the MIT AI Laboratory.
Ricky is a Managing Partner of AI Capital. Current corporate board member of Ipsidy (OTCBB: IDTY), Carii, Link3D, and former board member of Aspen University (NASDAQ:ASPU) 2014-2018. He has been an extremely active angel and seed investor and sits on advisory boards including Pattern Computer Inc, Aptage, and several others. Through the years, Mr. Solomon has structured many financings, both public and private and across industries.
Ricky is a former Partner and Managing Director of Wechsler & Co., a broker-dealer focused on convertible securities and Portfolio Manager at Paloma Partners, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund, where he ran a convertible arbitrage book as well as a long-short equity book focused on technology stocks. He was also Founding Partner of Amaranth Advisors, a multi-strategy market-neutral hedge fund that grew to nearly $10B in assets and Verition Fund Management, a multi-strategy market-neutral fund. He was also at Tripoint Global Equities.
Ricky received his business degree from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University.
Josh is an Advisory Partner of AI Capital and CEO of Agorai. Josh previously served as the former Global Head of the Data and AI Practice for Publicis.Sapient. In this role, he was responsible for strategy and partnerships related to artificial intelligence across all business lines. He also was responsible for launching the capital markets consulting business at Sapient which grew to become a multi-hundred million dollar business unit. Josh was a member of the leadership team responsible for growing the valuation of the overall organization from $50M when he joined to $3.7B upon its sale to Publicis in 2015.
In addition to his corporate roles, Josh also serves on the board of directors for NPower, a New York based non-profit focused on mobilizing the tech community and providing veterans and disadvantaged individuals the access and opportunity to build tech skills and achieve their potential. Josh is a graduate of MIT.
Zane is an Advisory Partner at AI Capital. He is also a former Vice President at Goldman Sachs and Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, Zane’s professional experience includes over twenty-five years in investment banking, private equity and new ventures. This combination of experiences has put Zane on both sides of negotiations and led to creative transactions. After his career in banking, Zane built a team that created, grew and harvested a portfolio of companies focused on improving access to healthcare.
Zane received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his undergraduate degree from Utah State University.
Zane’s experience includes venture investing, private placements, structuring, recaps, harvests, diligence, fund raising and talent acquisition.
Boris Batchvarov and Scott Spangler head up business development and investor relations with Family Offices, Registered Investment Advisors, Funds of Funds, and various other institutional investors across the United States and Europe.
Boris is a Director with AI Capital and is focused on fundraising in Boston and greater New England. He is an investor, entrepreneur and technology executive with expertise in operations, business development, capital raising and relationship management for investment funds, private equity, and early-stage companies. As a Managing Director for over 10 years with Boston Harbor Angels, he has created value through leveraging key relationships for more than 50 different startups and brings a strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to evaluate investment opportunities. Boris has worked on complex technology implementations for banking and investment management enterprises, applying process improvement and management skills to the startup ecosystem. He holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts (IT Systems and Finance) and is a visiting graduate student at Harvard University. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Industrial Management from the University of Varna in his native Bulgaria.
Scott brings over twenty years of comprehensive wealth management and investment experience. During 2004, he founded Ascent Capital Management, a boutique registered investment advisor located in Denver. In 2008, he transitioned his clients to a local private bank and RIA.
Long-standing relationships with family offices and investment managers have afforded Scott the opportunity to source and place alternative investments and managers typically not available to the traditional wealth management offering.
Scott is a third-generation native of Colorado with a storied family history dating back to the late 1800’s in the mining towns of Telluride, Leadville, Victor and Goldfield. As a result, he develops business relationships through a network of contacts across the Rocky Mountain region. He earned a B.B.A. from Colorado Mesa University where he studied economics, finance, and computer science.
